I am planning a taking the kids camping in August and am thinking about going to Bideford in North Devon as not been there before.
Can anyone recommend a good campsite near or in Bideford?
I am also looking for some interesting places to take the kids for a few days out on our camping trip so again if anyone has any good suggestions of places to visit in North Devon with the kids that would be helpful.
And finally are there good child friendly beaches near Bideford I could take the kids?
Recommendations welcome...
Thanks T,

Hi Tracy I can recommend one campsite near Bideford which is only 2 fields from the sea. Stoke Barton Farm and Campsite is very popular and well rated by campers. Stoke Barton has been a working farm for over 30 years has amazing coastal scenery. Definitely suggest you consider Stoke Barton my kids love it there I have added a link to their website so that you can take a look at what they have to offer. Hope that helps, Sally (and Family!)

Hi Di Hi Tracy You could also take a look at Westacott Farm Campsite which is a 110 acre working farm which is within an area of outstanding natural beauty along the North Devon coast and with views over the waters to Lundy Island and Saunton Sands. Westcott Farm Campsite is in Abbotsham, Bideford. Westcott Farm Campsite has 18 electric hook up pitches and lots of space for non-electric units. There is a cabin with toilets and showers with separate mens and ladies facilities, there is wash up area with two sinks and a freezer for ice packs plus a chemical disposal point and two areas with drinking water. There is a children's play area and animal corner where the kids can say see pigmy goats, the rabbit and some other animals. The South West Coastal Path is about a 20 minute walk away down the country lanes. That's another suggestion for you. Good luck with your Bideford camping trip a beautiful area to go camping for sure! Tourer
