Welcome at Cottage Farm Campsite!

 

Cottage Farm is a small, family-run caravan park and camping site located between Buxton and Bakewell in Derbyshire. It is an ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park.

 

This quiet caravan park is beautifully situated, nestling in a sheltered meadow, with views towards the rolling Derbyshire hills.

 

There are several walks from the park: it is located on the new Pennine Bridleway, with the Monsal Trail and Limestone Way both close by. Local places for day trips include Bakewell, Buxton, Castleton, Chatsworth, and many other charming towns and villages.

 

There are 30 caravan and motor caravan pitches at Cottage Farm Campsite. The majority are level hard standings, and most have grass alongside to take an awning. All pitches have electric hook-ups. There is a separate flat, grassed area for tents.

 

The park has a good, clean toilet and shower block. The shop, which is located nearby, sells basic provisions, soft drinks, ices, local maps, etc. The sites also sells Calor and Camping Gaz. A payphone is available.

 

Each year this family run site welcome's back old friends and new visitors.

Main season (March - October)

 

• Toilet & shower block with hot & cold water to hand basins. Electric shaver point and hand dryers. Showers operate using tokens (see prices page).
• Separate room for dish washing.
• Chemical toilet disposal unit.
• Shop stocks basic provisions, soft drinks, ices, local maps etc.
• Calor gas and Camping Gaz sales.
• Payphone.
• 30 pitches for touring caravans and motor caravans, all with electric hook-ups (10 Amp). The majority are level hard standings, and most have grass alongside to take an awning. Parking next to caravans.
• Separate flat, grassed area for tents.
• Dogs are welcome - but please keep under proper control at all times.
• Barbecues are allowed using a portable or disposable barbecue (disposables available from the shop). Please do not light camp fires on the ground.
• Booking: Advance booking advisable for school holidays and weekends during the summer. We are always very busy at bank holidays - please 'phone to enquire.
• We regret that we cannot take school parties or similar groups.

Winter season (November - February)

 

• During the winter we have 6 pitches with electric hook-ups (10 Amp) for touring caravans and motor caravans having their own facilities.
• The site's toilet & shower block is closed in winter but chemical toilet disposal is available.
• Booking: Advance booking is advisable.
