The following are the Campsite Directory guidance notes and instructions for uploading your photos and images to your virtual tour in our gallery section of our website. Please take a few minutes to read our hints tips and instructions before uploading your images.

The facility is not available to free listings in our database directory

You must be an "enhanced listing" for prices go to our why register (opens separate window) page

Premium Listings - up to 24 images

You need a specific folder for your campsite etc if we have not yet set on up please contact us via the "Contact Us" (opens separate window) page

Visitors to your site can add images which we will publish at our discretion

Make sure your images are clear and crisp and preferably in colour

Images should be 125 kb or less in size

Max size should be approx 19cm wide by 14cm high

Minimum size should be approx 10cm wide by 10cm high

Images should be in JPEG format (most digital cameras take this format)

Supply a variety of images of your site so viewers can get a good look around

Consider including images of your facilities like swimming pools, toilets, showers so viewers can get an idea of the variety and quality of your site

Include some local scenery in your pictures

DON'T include pictures of children (parental consent is required - unless they are your children and you are hereby giving consent for these to be published on this website)

You MUST only include photos or images for which you own the copyright

Name your images (helps in searches etc) and keep name as short as possible but include a small bit of description e.g. XYZ-Campsite-Cornwall-Entrance.jpeg. (You can rename items on your computer by right clicking on the image in explorer then selecting "rename" before you upload your images. To open explorer in MS Windows right click on "start" then select "explore".

If you need to resize your images as they are too large you can do this in photo editing software (usually under image attributes or edit) or Microsoft supply a free image resizer which can be downloaded from Microsofts website from the "powertoys" section.

You can add text to your photos in most photo editing software if you want to before you upload them.

Upload images to a specific folder for YOUR specific Campsite etc.

If we have not yet set up a folder for your site etc.  Go to our Contact Us (opens separate window) page and tick the "I would like a Virtual Tour folder" and supply your contact details

When you are in your dedicated section in the Virtual Tour section of our website then click the upload button which will then open a separate window (this will upload your photo to your your dedicated folder).

Browse to find the image file on your computer

then enter the name for the file

then a brief description of the image e.g. XYZ Campite entrance in my town - my county (keep the description to no more than 10 words)

then state any copyright details

then state any person to whom the image is credited such as the photographer for example

then state the source of the image such as your campsite etc

then state the contact email address (full and correctly) of your campsite or camping business or place to visit as this will be a clickable link in the Virtual Tour under the image

The state your name.

We automatically create any "thumbnail" image of your picture so you only need upload each image once.

Then hit the "upload file" button

Your will see a "Successful Upload" note at the top of the upload window if you are successful

We will review the images (as these are made public at our discretion) before we activate the release of your images to your folder. Please allow us up to 72 hours to do this and after that time Contact Us if your images are still not live.
